The Positive Activity™ Sales Pledge
Sales isn’t just a job. It’s a craft, a calling, and, done right, a deeply human exchange.
At its best, sales is about connection, creativity, and contribution. And yet, the profession is often misunderstood, even by those in it. That’s why I created the Positive Activity™ Sales Pledge.
Inspired by the lessons in Bar Tips and the Positive Activity™ framework we live and breathe at Rogers Marketing, this pledge is both a commitment and a reminder: We don’t just sell products, we deliver positivity, productivity, and creativity with every conversation.
I pledge to honor the profession of sales by committing to these principles:
I will show up prepared, present, and positive.
Sales is about energy, presence, and professionalism. I will arrive on time, well-groomed, and with an attitude that lifts the room.I will practice Rational Optimism.
I know every “no” is one step closer to a “yes.” I will keep perspective, maintain hope, and see challenges as opportunities to serve better.I will always be promoting (ABP).
I will keep my tools promotional products, stories, and solutions out of the closet and in the field, where they belong. Sales is action, not storage.I will live the Seven Touch Theory.
I will follow a process of consistent, thoughtful outreach that earns trust and builds lasting relationships, never relying on a single attempt.I will be hospitable in all my dealings.
Just as a great bartender makes everyone feel welcome, I will create an environment of trust, respect, and genuine interest in others.I will seek solutions, not excuses.
When things don’t go as planned, I won’t complain I will adapt, adjust, and keep moving forward.I will remain a forever student of my craft.
Sales, like music and life, requires practice. I will sharpen my skills, learn from my peers, and seek wisdom from every interaction.I will balance Positivity, Productivity, and Creativity (PPC).
I understand that sales is more than closing deals it’s about cultivating the right mindset, executing with discipline, and innovating with imagination.I will honor the trust of my clients.
